We had a snow storm in the Midwest last night. It snowed for 12 hours straight! I'd say we got about 5 - 8 inches of snow. Schools were closed all over the place, but not work! I had to shovel my walkway. Shortly after shoveling my walkway, here comes the property maintenance folks with their snow blower blowing snow all over the place, including my freshly shoveled stairs! Oh well. I got a lil exercise and will get a lil more when I have to reshovel the steps.
My car was under a car port, yet I still had to clear snow off. That was some storm! I don't mind the snow, but when the plows haven't cleared the roads, it makes for very dangerous conditions. People in SUVs drive like their vehicles have magic powers. It's rather scary. A friend of mine was driving on the freeway behind a truck that spun out in front of her. In her efforts to avoid a collision, she spun out as well. She, thankfully, was not harmed. Her car did not hit anyone or anything. Unfortunately, she was left facing the wrong way on the freeway. She had a hard time getting turned back in the correct direction because oncoming traffic was unforgiving. Luckily, a good Samaritan saw her plight and turned his car such that traffic had to stop to allow her the opportunity to turn her car back in the right direction. Other than being a bit shook up, my friend is ok… and on her way to the dealer to get some new tires!
